15-16 in town is hard to believe. we had a 4x4 suburban that didnt get that much and it was stock with smaller tires

 

The stock tune on these suck, you can add 10 - 12deg of addvance in the low airflow areas and change the shift points and yes properly tuned you can get 15-16mpg, but you must drive it easy and stay out of boost.

 

what kinda magnacharger is that a side mount?

 

Yes its the old sidemount.
