Ok so they're pretty much giving the 13's away right now and I'm pretty confident I could get a V6 RCSB W/T for around $15k~. I'd probably go 2wd just to make things easier and it'll never see over 500rwhp.
My thoughts are get a full pullout 6.2/6L80E and drop it in that bish.
I haven't done a ounce of research on the new 4.3 trucks but does anyone know what kind of differences we'd be looking at?
I'd imagine the rear end is still the same 10 bolt in every truck (pretty much a given?)
Fuel... just throw in a flex fuel pump? Fuel line should still be the same I would think?
computer?
trans xmember and motor mounts should be the same, even if they're not I can get them from a V8/6spd truck.
shifter and cluster for the 6spd
Thoughts, feedback
Or a LS3/T56

Doubt a 4.8 would be much more with the same mentality and you'd have motor mounts and other stuff already figured out...
I like the idea either way though, modding a new vehicle is so much nicer than fixing some retard's idea of maintenance and then trying to dig your way through that crap to go faster while breaking stuff that should work anyway.

After reading your post I looked it up and the 4.8 is a $900 option to a W/T... so I started looking at V8s and found the candidate

Black Sierra W/T, power everything that I want, fog lights, painted top pad, 5.3/6spd in 2wd... **** dat V6
Just about. I'm the same way, power windows, door locks and AC are a ****** must!! Remote entry and MP3 is nice as well but I could live without it. The one I'm looking at has pretty much everything available in a work truck... radio controls on the steering wheel, leather wheel, carpeting, LS package.

You can add the keyless easily too... I like where your heads at, pretty much a newer version of my 2006 Sierra stripper. Damn I miss that truck
