Thinking about an '11-'13 Mustang GT

I'm looking to get a second vehicle next year and I just made a post about getting another truck, but I have always wanted a mustang. I like the new ones a lot.

I was thinking about getting NBS 99-07 Classic single cab, and building it out with a NA 6.0, 6l80e etc. Realizing I may put the same or more into it than what I can get a newer Mustang GT for, I am now considering the latter.

I'm just wondering if anyone here has one.

Also, what is a quality Mustang forum? I have been on a few but all I see is arguing and a bunch of people showing their cocks off. Does anyone know a decent forum like PT that I can get some good info on?

I'll be keeping the truck in my sig

OR, I may even consider a V6 mustang and go turbo or something. I dunno. :sigh:

:barf:...........................

JK I am guilty of almost buying one myself lol get a 13 11's and 12's have the most issues when performing well not all but most piston #8 always took a :turd: a local guy at the track is running 10.40s on a 100% stock motor just headers slicks and a 250shot and is a beast

Don't do it!!

Don't do it why?

I have purposely remained ignorant on these cars. I didn't want to get excited and get my hopes up, or have them dashed. I am now wanting to look into them. Just seeing if anyone here has had any experience with them because most people on this site have a realistic approach. I don't want to deal with the screaming idiots and the fanboys just yet.

Stay away from a six speed manual car. Performance per dollar, the truck will almost always lose, but goofy folks like us enjoy trucks. As long as you keep the truck, you're good :burn:

the 5.0's are very impressive. I'm on s197forum, it seems to be the most knowledgeable forum for 05+ mustangs. I wouldn't worry too much about the #8 pistons unless your planning on supercharging it. I'm a big fan of having a manual in a sports car (my 05 is a manual) but the new auto that comes with the 11+ is fuking impressive. There are several guys running 9s with completely stock trannys. The manual is a mt82 and it has lots of issues, from smoking pressure plate to sticking peddles at high rpms.

I will probably end up selling my 05' and getting a 13' Boss sometime next year.

I'll check out that forum.

what about a Suburu STI? I want something with a stick that I can drive the shit out of. Not interested in FWD.

Had dinner with my cousin and her husband last night. He's got an '08 BMW M5 with a manual. Good God that car is a monster

As far as forums go you will not find one as high quality as performancetrucks.net. Ive got a 5thgen camaro and well alot of guys on the camaro forums are fan boys. Very few of them have any tech experience at all, there tech experience is usually what the guys installing there shit at the shop tells them. Alot of guys with to much money and no wrenching skills is all you will find, or there most common mods are a bolt on axle back muffler with a stripe kit, not gear swaps, cam swaps, lifts and lowering kits like you will find here. This is one reasons I went with a lsx car, alot of tech you find here is applicable to the camaro
