As far as a good seller??? Look at there feedback history, this will tell alot on the seller. Also make sure you do your tranactions with pay pal.. That way if you don't get your item. Pay pal gives you your money back, goes after the person(s). One of the biggest problem that people have is getting ripped off, doesn't do there home work on the seller they are buying there stuff from.. If the guy has 98-100% feedback, chances are your good to go..

Look at if they take paypal
their past trader history and rating
Look at how professional the auction looksif the picture is actually of the item rather than just a stock photo
Look to see if their shipping charges are reasonable
Always ask questions about anything you're not sure about
When the item is sold "as-is" ask 10x more questions to make sure they don't already know it's broken and are trying to scam you
Use paypal if possible and use your credit card rather than your debit card
Maintain communication with the seller as they ship your item. If I don't get a tracking number or a damn good reason for not shipping within 2 business days you can bet your *** I'll file a paypal claim.

One thing to remember now too, and this just happened to me, is that paypal will keep your funds on hold for 21 days until they either confirm delivery (which in my case they never did) OR the seller leaves positive feedback. I sold some tickets for a concert for $600 and the seller never left me feedback...So I had to wait.
It's ridiculous but in their policy now.

Getting a 98% to 100% positive feedback on ebay isn't hard anymore. Did you know that, as a buyer, if you leave a negative feedback for a seller, the seller can claim you never made payment, even though you did, then have your negative feedback expunged.
It happened to me, as a buyer. I bought an exhaust system and when it came, it was missing parts and pieces. I contacted the seller via the phone number on the box and they told me I'd need to ship the whole kit back, at my cost, so they could verify two pieces were missing. I didn't feel like spending 60 bucks on shipping this big box when the parts probably cost less than 10 dollars. I just wanted them to tell me what the parts were that were missing so I could get then locally, since they weren't willing to help out.
Needless to say, they weren't helpful AT ALL and even called me a liar.
So, after emailing them THREE TIMES and getting no help, I left them negative feedback. They then told ebay I didn't pay, which I did through paypal. I submitted the payment info to paypal, but a week later, I noticed the negative feedback I left for them was gone!
