Default There's a Gas War going on in my little town :OD

A couple weeks ago a brand new Maverick station opened up here in town and I heard they're 6 month plan was to drive the rest of the gas stations out of town. Small town, only 3200 peps. They have been lower then everyone else on price pretty much since they open, and here lately every time I drive by there the price is 1-4 cents CHEAPER . Like last week I drove by in the morning and reg was 3.11 (way cheap already) then that afternoon, 3.09. the next morning 3.08 that afternoon, 3.07 and so on. Yesterday was 2.99 in the morning and 2.96 in the afternoon

I'm lovin it cuz it's not just reg, 91 (all you can get up here) is only .20 more. Plus I got a Maverick card that gives you ANOTHER 4 cents off! . Mean while the Shell just up the street is still at 3.68 for reg and 3.91 for 91 Most of the stations are trying to keep up, but at soon as they drop there prices to match, the Maverick drops there's again, Got to love a good gas war. I see a tanker there about every other day, filling them back up, there selling a **** load of gas, lol.

Thats good for you now but once they run the other stations out of town they will jack up there prices higher than the other stations were but you can still go elsewhere.

Ya, it's nice and if oil will keep dropping hopefully it will continue to get cheaper . I think there are selling it at there cost (which is all that is legal) or a penny or 2 higher. I know they're just doing it get get business into see the new store (which is WAY nice BTW) and it won't last, but I'm almost afraid to buy gas, cuz it might be CHEAPER tomorrow, when have you ever heard of that lately?

I don't think they will run them out, just trying to get noticed, Too many big chain stations here for that. They're a more local chain around here and are know for having low prices at all there locations. I don't think they will ever be the ones doing the price jacking.

I wish we could get back to the prices from before katrina. Hell, I would be happy at $2 a gallon, hell even $3 is better than what it has been.
