Cool project. Lots of chains and rear tires in your future lol
I doubt I will dyno it. If I do, it'll be the same type of stuff I did with the trucks. Street toon and take it to a cheap dyno day if I come across one.

Rode the bike over 150 miles this weekend with a backpack full of tools just in case but didn't have to fix or adjust a single thing. From the limited data I was able to gather, it looks like my little air filter is maxed out. I hadn't intended on it being permanent but the little guy didn't have as much as I thought lol. Peaks around 2.5psi of boost at 8000rpm and by 11000rpm boost is down to 1psi. She's choked up pretty good...doesn't feel like there's a power gain at all up top. The mid range is nice and peppy though. Turbo comes on like a blower, in fact its hard to keep it out of boost. Highway cruising at 5000rpm and whack the throttle open, you'd never know it wasn't a roots blower. For now I am going to work on getting a better air filter on it and reconfigure the intake if necessary...then boost goes up

Wow you did a great job with that header. How large are the primaries? How is the tuning capability of the computer on these bikes?

Sounds crazy but even at only 2.5psi through the mid range I'm sure its beastly... hell they're crazy through the mid range stock.

How much total boost do you plan on? What kind of power will that turbo support on that motor?

Thanks. Apart from the turbo, the manifold is my favorite part of the kit. Totally different than the flat flanges that LS engines use though...each primary has a little spigot that sits inside a recess in the head with a copper o-ring crush gasket. Weird stuff. The primaries are 1.5" schedule 10, so that makes them 1.68" ID. Why they are called 1.5", I don't know. Turbo is a T25 flanged EFR6258, just shy of 50mm...wouldn't have any issue maxing it out on this bike at 450hp if I wanted to push it that far. I'm only looking to run about 6psi though, somewhere around 200hp. Working with fueling is a bit of a bitch on this thing for a lot of reasons. It's possible to get it dialed in perfect, but it will need constant monitoring. I've got it set up to use closed-loop control while in boost which is definitely a perk since the fueling will wander with weather and elevation changes.

Pipe sizing makes no sense.

Interesting. Can you monitor boost with the stock computer? Does it have any sort of VE tuning?

200 will be whacky... I wonder what the stock internals could handle before they pop.

No I can't monitor boost with the ECU, but I can with the power commander. I actually used a GM 3 bar sensor i had laying around lol. It does have a conventional VE surface, but it's implemented in a really asinine way. I read stock internals start becoming problematic around 230hp so I'm leaving some room. Will be out of fuel by then anyway.

My cousin had a gsxr 1000 with a turbo at 12psi. It was fun but didn't spool to 6k. Kinda wild in the turns. I had a built Hayabusa with a bit of spray and it was fun also.
