silverado making clicking noise?

well, you know something is wrong with your drivetrain, you're fairly certain as to what it is. pony up the dough and get it fixed. if that joint seizes your possibly going to shatter your transfer case, and thats upwards of 3-4 grand for a new one of those last i checked.

mechanics do this for a living. call one. i'm pretty sure it's a regular occurrence on these pickups, chances are they'll have replaced one at some point.
or you could do this to your front wheel i guess

if its the cv joint you should be able to see a torn boot or something (sometimes) under the front of the truck, look at the center of the inside of your wheel, you will see a shaft with a boot on the both sides of the shaft, grab it and shake it. If its tight on both sides then proceed to jack it up and get your wheel to free spin as fast as possible. if you have the equipment you can get all 4 wheels off the ground and just put it in drive and slowly come up to speed and try and pin point the noise. Make sure you use your brakes and your wheels are at a complete stop before you put your truck in park.
Are you in high school or a tech school? either way its good to see that you are trying to learn something but I hope you never work on my truck

hahaha This is absolutely ridiculous. I had my wheel fall off my fourwheeler once after about an hour of hearing that same sound. I was young and dumb . . . so if I were you I would GET IT FIXED!!!
