so can i crawl up under my truck and find the cv joint and shake the shaft? i might wait to mess with my truck, my school starts next week and i already finished auto, so ill be in advanced auto, i know the basic of vehicles soo far but nothing hard core yet, and am not taking my truck into a shop, id rather learn how to do it my self, i just changed my universal joint, my grampa teached me how to do that, but that what am thinking is it is something like that, and no there not a rock in my tires, otherwise that rock would have been in my tire for 6 months and the rock growing to make a louder clicking noice everyday

This has been asked several times.... IS YOUR TRUCK 2WD or 4WD?
If it is 2wd i'd bet its your wheel bearing or a rock in your tire.
If it's 4wd it's probably CVC joints. Take it to a mechanic so they can tell you what it is and then you can fix it yourself after that.

What grade are you in again?

Does it go away after driving a little bit? Say after 1st gear? I recently destroyed my rear planetary in my transmission and it made that sound.
