Those flapper cowl hoods are pushing 1000 bucks I believe. The cowl hoods offered (by Goodmark at least) for the HDs are the same as the half ton Cowl hoods. I've seen one attempted like I was saying but it was not pulled off very well. What I have in my head Ive never really seen before. Not saying it hasn't been done but I haven't seen one if it has.

A cowl hood (flapper or not) with Chevelle stripes are the way to go IMO. But I wouldn't put them on the tailgate - I've just never liked that for some reason.

Man tough choices, both the flapper and non flapper look good. A Goodmark cowl hood has been on my wish list for a long time, I've often tossed around the idea of satin black stripes on it too...satin/flat black stripes on a gloss black truck look great IMO.

Billy, your truck is almost as stock as mine what is the deal.

They both do look good. IMO

Ben, the 2 pics twolow02fransen posted; I remember like it was yesterday. I loved that truck 1st time I saw it in print. I wished back then he went w/. a LS SB makin some insane power, either N/A or FI. It's still...
That, & 496 cubes!

I never knew those hoods (flappers) were available til some time after that from somebody, I forgot who. Pics posted were a one off (at the time).
But they sure aren't cheap.

SnakeOiler, I agree about not puttin them on tailgate - I've just never liked that for some reason either. I think I know why too. Because the stripe are on a vertical plane instead of a horizontal one like a flat hood (relatively flat).

BH3, while a Goodmark cowl hood has been on your wish list for a long time, stop tossing around the idea of satin black stripes on it. ...satin/flat black stripes on a gloss black truck wouldn't stand out. Unless that's what u want?!? :nunchuk1:
