The fact that the corvette camaro CTS and trucks not to mention every GM V8 share the same platform means that performance parts will never be in short supply. HPtuners cracked the code very quickly and should be able to support all the new gen motors right away. Direct injections learn curve has been already been taken care of thanks to the cobalt SS. Machining these motors won't be a big deal since it won't be a major change from previous V8s. The stock heads will flow huge numbers. The stock intake manifold should flow really really well and beyond that we need only to make things like intakes and exhaust fit the new style. I think we will be okay on performance parts in the for seeable future.

When the 454 ss truck came out, the gen 1 lightning was quicker/faster? I know when the siverado ss came out, the gen 2 L and srt10 ram destroyed that. I think the lightnings had a cruise control recall on the gen 2 lightnings which caused them to catch fire. Every company has recalls on vehicles. People will still trash other companies as a whole for whatever reason. I am just someone who likes performance trucks regardless of the brand.

At least a company is making some attempt at sport trucks. I'm hoping dodge puts a 6.4 hemi in a single cab 1500 ram soon. Their r/t ram was a great truck.
