Alright, so I lost my phone last night. I have looked everywhere, except where my phone is. lol So I have some questions and I'm up for your suggestions.

I'm not up for an upgrade until July and I need a phone before that. I really don't want to spend $400 on a brand new phone. I've never really had the latest and greatest in phones so that isn't a big issue. I was looking on ebay at blackberry's, what do you think about buying a used phone online? It looks like I can get one for under a 100. I am up for any ideas and info.

If I do get a blackberry, do I have to add something to my plan to recieve emails? How much is it generally?

 

Who is your service with?? Did you pay the 5 buks extra a month for insurance?? If you did, you will have a new phone in a day for 50$.. I am with verizon, you do need to have the unlimited data usage plan(20$extra a month) for 3g smart phones, I have the samsung fascinate galaxy.. I am not sure if other services, make you cover the unlimited data plan.. My bill is about 85 a month

 

I didn't get insurance on my phone, it would have been cheaper to just buy another phone haha. I have sprint. So I need to add something special to my plan to have a smart phone?

 

Damn it, next time pay the insurance, cuz when you get a phone with all the bells and whistles, they are $$$. You might want to check with them to see. i am not sure how there plans work

 

I wasnt qualified for an upgrade, i got my Blackberry Bold for $100. its on a business account but I dont know if that made a difference or not.

check out the BB on a 2 year agreement, there are a few that are going for real cheap.

 

I sold my BB pearl for $80 when I got my iphone. Just check on Ebay

 

I've been finding them pretty cheap. I think that's what I'm going to end up doing.

 

As far as your plan goes you will have to make sure you have BB Data plan if using ATT so I'd check Sprint's site or call them to see if its extra or not.
