What engine is in there? Sounds like a crotchrocket revving. But has the rasp of a LS1 with exhaust. Bet its expensive

 

I believe it has a 4.8 v 10 in there, with a red line of 9k, atleast that is what the older ones were..

They did a show about it on top gear. They said that the engineers went to the yamaha studios ( the company that makes musical instruments not the motor cycle company) and told them we want it to sound like this. And they build and tuned a exhaust to sound the way it sounds. At least thats what they said on the show.

 

That engine has won a few awards with it's design. Very cool technical stuff was done with that little motor. For one it rev's faster than an analog tachometer could keep up with so they had to go digital. I wouldn't want one but they are cool!

 

Honestly it sounds like a street bike engine in a car.

The title should be, " one of the worst sounds ive heard"
