Looking to install a torquer v4 on a 2000 5.3 silverado does anyone have any experience with this application

Go to the Gm Internal Engine section, post a new thread with your question.

People will answer. They will never see it in someone else's post like here.

Also, that's a lot of cam for a 5.3

Alright thanks & yeah I heard that they all recommend a 228r cam but I'm looking for something a big bigger torquer v2 might be my choice... thanks

Yes I have experience installing a torque converter on a 5.3. You must drop the transmission first then remove the previous tc from the transmission. When installing the new tc make sure your o ring is installed on the input shaft. If it isn't you will not have lock up. Next slide the new tc onto the shaft spinning it as you do you will feel it click back onto the pump. Alway spin so that it will seat down properly I believe it's 3 clicks. You will know when it's fully seated as it will not wobble and will be almost right against the pump. Then install.
