man i'm sure that felt like ****. guy i worked with fell from a 12 foot ladder in a robot cell one time and caught his ring on a bolt or something, de-gloved his finger! wedding rings can definitely be hazardous in the workplace.

Well, to give an update.
I will have a life long soft spot and ring scar on my left hand. Dr. said it will never go away. If I do a lot of work, I have to keep it wrapped up to keep from ripping it open. He said it was worse then a 3rd degree burn.
He then told me I was stupid and shouldn't wear my ring will working.
I cannot wear my ring. If I put it back on, my finger begins to burn immediately. I am guessing because the skin is so thin.

holy **** man... Maybe keep putting like Aloe Vera and stuff like that to stimulate skin cells. I think over time it will build back up to a thickness. Maybe not to normal, but it would definitely improve. Whats a doctor do? Pass you on to someone else or give you some pills to shut you up

That looks like it seriously hurts! Wearing jewelry of any sort just isn't worth the risk of injury when working on equipment.
