this is a good way to find out if your iphone can be jailbroken, i used it to figure out if i could do my friend's 3G. it was on 3.1.3 and 5.12.01 firmware. i jailbroke but was unable to unlock it. it has links to were you can download all the necessary programs

After days of trying to do mine with 3.1.3 I finally tried Spirit.

SPIRIT FTMFW!!! Had it jailbroke in a matter of seconds!

Thank you for the heads up!!! The day I went to jailbreak my 3GS was just a couple days after they released 3.1.3 The jailbreak messed up, forcing me to update (since you cant use previous updates with the 3GS)

I just used spirit, literally took four seconds to load on my phone, thrity seconds later it was jailbroken and working.

 

Pretty happy with my Incredible....

 

i guess this post is kinda inapropriate in a way, but i have a mother in my group for disabled children that needs the screen replaced on hers, if by any chance it cant be fixed and you would consider donating it for parts please email me myinnerchildbitme@yahoo.com i appologize for posting this but i know how badly she needs her phone fixed and i know someone that would do it for her for free, she just cant afford the new screen and it is not covered under warrenty, thank you for letting me bother you and take care

 

You went through the trouble of creating a user name and posting on a truck forum because your friend has a broken screen and you want parts for it...

Ever heard of ebay, cell phone stores, etc etc etc....? The new screen doesn't cost that much, and if she can't afford that she shouldn't have an iphone.

It costs a lot to have an iphone, the monthly bill alone is outrageous. I don't have sympathy for someone saying they need a phone bad enough to beg for free parts, when they can easily borrow someones old phone or pay $20 for an el cheapo phone to use temporarily.

 

Ok... don't mean to go off topic here, but I have a question about 3G iPhone.

What browser are y'all using for PT.net, b/c I don't see Safari liking it.
