It is CAI lol.

But hey it was $325, you can barely buy a .22 for that much anymore.

I have the Romanian wasr-10 too. Bought it new about 8 years ago, I would say about 3000-5000 round through it and not one problem. I love love love to shoot it into water and make what I call "Vegas fountain shows." Or cut down small trees with it.

Mine is a SAR-2, which supposedly the SAR's came out before the WASR and is a little better quality. We'll see, just gotta find some ammo for this thing. I can find it online, but would rather buy locally if I can.

Nobody sells 5.45 local though

The wood on my AK is not sealed or stained or anything, like most pictures I see. Does that mean it is not original wood? Should I seal or stain it to protect it or is it good as is?

Any links to composite material replacement stocks/grips?

It looks like a plastic toy. I'd do something with the wood.

I've got some good websites Scott. I'll have to get the addresses off my toolbox at work (wrote them on my clipboard) and send them your way. I've already gotten some SKS stuff from a couple of the sites. Pretty sure all of them have ammo for sale too. I like the 7.62x39 just because it's so common. I wouldnt mind picking up a 7.62x54 Dragonov in the near future.... There's a gun show this weekend too.
