Btw after testing, the MagLite quite a bit more "throw" to the light. If I go out on my balcony it will shine further, but only because the beam is much more focused how I have it set up. The Fenix puts out 10x the amount of light around the beam, meaning it has more "spill" to it. It's amazingly bright for the size.
I'll be ordering that TK41 or maybe something brighter soon. As Brendan described it earlier, it's got to be "panty dropping bright".

I've got the maglite for a work light, and a road side air pump that runs off 12v and has a light on it for changing tires. I'm looking for something to spotlight pigs with if I run up on some at the deer lease or blind the **** outta someone

Well take a serious look at that TK41. Look at some Youtube videos of it. It takes AA batteries so if you don't want to recharge it just throw some new ones in it. How often/long will you be spot lighting pigs or deer or blinding the **** out of someone? Surely you'll have time to change out batteries somewhere in there. For a carry light or just a smaller light in general, I think the one I bought (pd31) is excellent.

I was just really looking to for-go the whole disposable battery deal. Do they atleast come with brackets to mount them? I hate **** rolling around in my truck and I didn't see it listed in the package contents for either light.

It does not come with a mount but you seem handy enough to fab up something. I'm not sure they really make too many super bright lights with mounting brackets and stuff. You usually find that stuff in worklights like the streamlight stingers and stuff.

When I get on a computer tomorrow I'll look and see how the diameter of either of those compare to my maglite D cell. Would be awesome if I could just use my existing mounts
