Very admirable, and I'm completely impressed. At any point would you have considered a U.S. sponsored wheelchair team. You're drive for competition must be intense...
What about a lacrosse wheelchair team?
p.s...
I use to play a lot of ball out at La Mirada, and the field over by Boonesberry Farm. Sure miss the Calif weather, less the quakes, fires, mud slides, and traffic.

LOL dude im probably the biggest a-hole smart a$$ in a wheelchair so to offend me or make me feel uncomfortable youll have to do more then ask whats wrong with me. (Cliff notes at bottom)
Well ill try to keep it short (most likely wont be though) I have a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy that affect balance and coordination and its progressive (gets worse as I get older) the name of it is Friedrichs Ataxia.
The first 15-16 years of my life were as normal as a typical kid then I started to notice i would just trip and fall or stumble for no reason I just thought I was clumbsy (sp). So I deal with for 4-5 years until things just got worst at this point 20-21 and I still walk but Im always getting asked if ive been drinking and the way I walked was like I was on stilts in the middle of a hurricane and I also had trouble with stairs I would avouid them like the plague.
So then things take a turn for the worst my mom passed away when i was 22 she was a single parent I never knew my dad and I was also an onlt child and on top of that I literally have no other family so to say the least she was my world even at 22. So that just flipped my world upside down and put me into a depression and the depression seemed to amplify the symptoms.
At that point i thought it would be a good idea to actually see a doctor about it (i know i took my time but i never had insurance) so after a whole bunch of tests and what not I found out the real problem.
so at this point im 28 and have used the chair for 3 years the few years before that i used forearm crutches for a couple years, I can still stand and take a few steps but due to the many many falls ive taken i have two bad ankles and two matching knees to go with them.
Honestly I have my moments of fustration and deffinitly get pissed at the world sometimes but who doesnt I think im actually a little lucky becuase ive personally seen 3-4 years old with the same disorder using a wheelchair and im just thankful that I old enough and adventurouis enough to get out there and enjoy my life.
I think I might like talking about myself I sound intresting maybe a book will be in my future.
Cliff Notes: I have Muscular Dystrophy symtoms started at 16 went into the wheelchair at 24-25 the name of the disorder is Friedrichs Ataxia

As far as playing fulltime I work a fulltime job and even though im fairly good the pro teams well they are pros they get to train fulltime and what not. I have played against pro players from the US and while in Germany i played with some of those pros but they are damn good and even though it was good times i could tell they were on the next level even though i have flipped my share of people over (im mainly a defensive player) and also have been flipped.
I have tried some other sorts of sports but theres none like WC rugby i mean no offense to the WC tennis players or basketball players but where else do you celebrate after you knock someone off there wheels then go help get right side up and he even gives a knowing nod. Imean even typing about it makes want to go get a game going.

Well being drunk now is more fun then its ever been I dont have to worry about falling or stumbling and I dont drink and drive but if i did it would be a little difficult to give me a road side soberity test.

You seem to have a real good attitude about it and that is wise but don't think you'll get any special treatment here.
You'll get banned as fast as the next ahole

I don't put any handicap stickers on my truck at all, and i never use the hanger. I was sitten at a handi spot at sonic eaten a salad and some dude in his late 30's to 40's pulled up in a minivan callin me a "PUNK KID" i just laughed at him. I thought about making him feel like a jackass on the spot, but i'll wait till next time i see him.
It's always hilarious to see the look on someones face when they judge you while your still in the truck.
I'm 23 and been in one for 8 years come 4-25-08. Wrecked a 3wheeler the day b4 my 16th.
btw murderball is a brutal sport. I wouldn't mind playing it one day but i don't know where i'd even start to find a place that offers it.
If any of you want to see a real sport and get a few good laughs. Watch the movie MURDERBALL. It should be required that everyone watch that movie.
p.s. **** a minivan.
