Default '99 Z71 Jacking Locations?

I really hate to post up such a newbie question, but where is the optimal location on the front of my '99 z71 for lifting with a floor jack, then supporting on jack stands? I was going to buy a crossbeam adapter for my floor jack to distribute weight evenly on the front section of frame but I would like to see what you guys do first. Thanks in advance.

Right in the middle of the lower crossmember. I use a 4x4 block of wood if I need more height. Jack stands on the a arm or that same lower crossmember work fine for me.

Yup^ or jack it up and slide the drive up wheel stands under the wheels. I really prefer them, because depending on what your doing jack stands always seem to be in the way. I have done them both ways. If I do use jack stands, I put them under the A arms for more overall height.
