May's 09 TOTM: EVILGMC
EVILGMC
Well ****, where should I start. How bout a thank you for this nomination. I had a good laugh myself when I saw I was nominated....never really though I could hang with all the bad *** trucks on here. So seriously, thank you.
Then there is the story of the EVIL GMC. I bought her in October 2002, one of the first 03s around town. People woudl ask me what kind of truck it was since i debadged it the first week and shortly after threw in a drop, magnaflow, intake, clear corners, cleared the factory lights and a speed grille. Even landed on the street scene website.

Then came the Centerline Stingray 1s...awesome wheels, but the wrong offset...rubbed with 255/50/20 tires. No bueno.
Then the fun started. With the help of a couple of friends, ended up with a MP112 for the little 4.8 and thats how she stayed for 3 years.
Next came a free complete 2002 6.0 that was given to me by the parts manager at the dealer I was working at after college....yeah go figure..biology degree and sellign cars...but it was fun. Got bored with the chrome and blacked everything out with Candy Red smoothies...no pictures of those though.
Built the 6.0 into a forged 370 and pullied down to a 2.8 and later added the WCCH 90mm kit form our man Richard.
After blowing up 2 4L65e's in one day, I made the move to an 80e and stuck with it. Happened to have a 2500 trans x-member around and with the help of some bar stock, made it work.
A friend of mine was trading in his truck one day and had just put in this sick interior, so I bought it off him and did the swap before he traded it for.....a GTI...weak indeed.
Those smoothie wheels cooked the brakes, so I had them cut into the ones you see now and went with a mellow grey color.
Dyno day... 489/525 @wheels

I joined in October of last year...and its been fun. The latest transition being my TVS1900 project that also included LTs and a 4" exhaust. And its done...but the motor had other ideas...stupid comp lifters.
During the build I had met a couple of the guys on here through friends and whatnot...before even being a member of PT.net. One of them suggested it to me last fall when I was considering selling the truck....instead i have done nothing but spend more MONEY!! haha
I have also picked up countless tips and made some new friends. And I am thankful for all of that. It has also been nice to share my findings with everyone on here.
ROCK ON!
