It all started on January 31st 2006. I was sick of working on my old car and had been eyeing one of these new trucks for a long time. So i ordered the exact truck that i wanted! 2006 Silverado 4.8 Black with steering wheel controls and 3.73s.
First on the list were shackles, tint, a snug top, intake, exhaust, escalade handles, and debadging it. All of this was done within 48 hours of my owning it!
It had to get on the ground, so next on the list was a Mcgaughys Deluxe 4/6 drop kit and Intro Vista II's. 20X8.5 on 255/40/20 in front and 275/35/20 on 20x10 in the rear. At this time i shaved the tailgate, smoothed all the plastics and painted them, cleared the headlights, and retinted everything (including the windshield).
I custom built a stereo next!
I got rid of the mod bug for a couple months, and then the speed bug hit!
i bought a magnuson radix kit off of a fellow member here, got an outlaw intake, heavily upgraded the transmission, and got an auburn locker installed. A custom tune was performed by DC JUSTIN too.
i also switched rims at this time. 22x9 Intro Twisted Vista I's with 265/35/22's were the choice.
Many other little mods have been performed along the way! (xm radio, antenna delete, signal/power fold mirrors, etc...)
