can anyone explain whats the difference in rwhp in a mustang dyno vs dynojet. I think ive heard that dynojet will show more hp?

PEDRO 08-09-2006 04:59 PM

dyno jet will show more.To me it doesnt matter what the output is on the mustang dyno or dyno jet as long as u keep using the same dyno to see ur results.and numbers arent everything if u cant take it down the track!IMO

the difference is how they calculate the HP rating ( i think ) The bottom line is, a dyno is a measureing tool, and if you baseline and test on the same dyno then the results are valid. I dont like to see people baseline on one dyno, and test their mods on another.......Dynos are like boobies, no two are the same.

sweet numbers, some headers and good cam and that might break 500

MyGoatBites 08-10-2006 12:13 AM

That is pretty good. You drop the compression and put a set of ported 317 heads and a blower cam and it will be 500 rwhp in a snap. Maybe add some methanol injection and some more timing and see 600 rwhp. Excellent!

I'd prefer the boobies over the dyno any day

Are Dynojet dynos load bearing?
