Default TB SS, Is it right for me?

I am having a real tough time deciding on what to buy. So I figured I would ask the people that have driven and owned them. I love the TB SS and like the fact that they have been going for $29,xxx. I am looking for a daily driver. That will be able to do light towing duties (aluminum trailer w/Fox body/LS1 swap) and will be comfortable. It will also have to be able to handle the winter and drives up to NH to go snowboarding. I have been looking at the 05-up 4runner V-8, Silverado, yukons you name it. I would like the car to still be respectivly quick and the TBSS seems to be the best choice. How is the awd drivetrain holding up to any mods and the 4L70E is the weak point of the car correct. To bad they dont offer it with a 6-speed. Thanks for any help.

the weak point is going to be the 70E, but it's going to take alot to break one.
