Default Stock Trailblazer SS in the 13's

Took the TB to the track tonight. Good weather, made 5 passes. Last pass was the best.

Houston Raceway Park
1/6/2006
9:07 PM
Temp 46
Dew Point 29
Pressure 30.26 mm Hg
DA = -1250

60' - 2.103
330 - 5.881
1/8 - 8.983
MPH - 80.02
1000 - 11.684
1/4 - 13.988
MPH - 97.50

It weighs in at a portly 4720 lbs., 4920 with driver.

Has anyone else gone 13's? I might be the first? Simulated runs don't count.

Arrived at the track, teched in and made 4 hot laps. DA was about -900.

Run 1 2 3 4
Time 7:07 7:12 7:16 7:24
60' - 2.140 2.165 2.143 2.146
330 - 5.958 5.989 5.983 5.995
1/8 - 9.090 9.125 9.135 9.149
MPH - 79.40 79.24 78.78 78.91
1000 - 11.803 11.840 11.866 11.877
1/4 - 14.117 14.151 14.192 14.200
MPH - 97.13 97.31 96.71 96.86

Obviously the heat in the engine was hurting the times, gave it plenty of time to cool down for the 5th trip.

1st run - Stabilitrak off in 3rd gear launched at 1500 RPM
2nd run - TC on in D launched at 1800 RPM
3rd run - Stabilitrac off in 3rd launched at 1800 RPM
4th run - Stabilitrac off in 3rd launched at 2000 RPM starting to want to creep.

I am very happy with the results!

Wow, Im suprised the AWD outdid my 2WD.. I was guessing you would lose a few HP through AWD, but nice times.. I will have to make a trip to San Antonio to a better track to see how much better the 2WD will do...

I do lose hp with AWD and gain weight. But I have zero traction concerns. No way to spin all 4 tires. I suspect with 2WD it's all about hooking up off the line. That will be difficult to do with the stock 255 tires.
