Default My TBSS pet peeves

Rear view mirror too big (what, are we driving a freakin semi?)
Turn signals staying on when they should go off (around light turns)
TIRE BLOWOUTS (caused by sharp edged control arms)
Sore neck (from having to tilt my head ((I'm 6'5")))
Stabilitrak (Looped the TBSS in an intersection because I could accelerate out of a skid)
Slow (why cant I beat Z06s and Ferraris?)

True
TIRE BLOWOUTS (caused by sharp edged control arms)
Easy on this one there is only one person this happened to.they replaced my two pass side tires at goodyear they looked to be damaged in transit they have been fine .
Sore neck (from having to tilt my head ((I'm 6'5")))
I'm 5'11" necks ok
Stabilitrak (Looped the TBSS in an intersection because I could accelerate out of a skid)
This jerky software sucks. I almost got rearended twice because the throtle will not respond after it kicks in for at least a 5 count .
Slow (why cant I beat Z06s and Ferraris?)
Yeh why can't we ?

Sounds like stabiltrak should be called stabilicrap...

I'd be turning that off asap.

Well, the Stabilitrak can be turned off, but you just about have to pull off to the side of the road and park so you dont get into an accident.. Just hold the TCS button for like 10 seconds, and it will say "Stabilitrack off"..
Still a pain in the ***- its getting removed with the new tuning

So are these things not worth the money or what??? I am looking to purchase on in the near future and I want to make sure that I am getting a nice machine. My sister has a trailblazer and I love driving it and the way it drive (except for that it is waaayyy to slow). So what do you guys think?? Would you buy one if you know about these imperfections???

I cant think of anything else that offers so much for the money. You can shut stabilicrap of at anytime but it still sucks [i mean it works in the snow and has a high threshold in the rain. you can slide it around alittle]

Rear view mirror - this is partially because you're tall (as am I). Rear view mirrors should be made to slide UP and DOWN - If it's placed too high, smaller people can't see out - but people like you and I get a large portion of the view on the right blocked by normal mirrors. (When the mirrors on my other GM cars fall off the windshield, I always used to glue them back up higher.)

Turn signals - normal quirk for GM cars...annoying, but I just mentally note which intersections this happens at...

Tire blowouts - I've been pitching mine sideways - no wear. Jury's still out on that.

Sore neck - do you have a sunroof? I couldn't even fit in that without leaning the seat back so far there was NO room in the already small back seat. Searched for one without a sunroof - I fit quite nicely, even wearing a baseball hat.

StabiliTrak - it did save me from sliding into something, I'm embarrassed to admit. But I like the ability to turn it off, too.

Slow - I don't know if I'd call it slow...but I am used to the speed...I need more HP now. (I'm on the list for the Vector tune).

I'm 6'2" and dont fit in it very well ... tilt and slide the seat back and I can drive it. It is slow for what it is and GM has done us an extreme injustice by cutting all of the ***** out of the bottom end of the powerband. Now, dont get me wrong, I am not saying it is slow ... my 2WD ran a 14.16 @ 99 mph with a shitty 60 foot time of 2.15 ... but for a 400 HP vehicle, it should run harder. And as for the 15/19, I just dont see how it is possible ... at least not down here in central FL with the nasty traffic.

Those are my only real complaints, but they dont really matter since it is the wife's and will not be touched for the next 5 years or so.

But what do I really care ... that's what I have a big block for ....
