I know many of the SS guys have run the M&H 390's on that rim. That is a giant tire. I went (1.7x - 60') 10.6x/129 in my SS on the M&H 325's with a Novi 2000 around 700whp. That was 1st trip out in it and only ran it twice that day as I had no cage.

Being a D1x I'd say you'll be able to get away with either the 275 or 325 just fine as the power comes in linear unless you have a crazy stall speed. Which leads to, whose converter and specs?

thanks thats good info
its a yank 3600 stall 3 disc if i remember. im a turbo guy so blowers are new to me and was thinking smaller tire might help it get out of the hole. its nice with the new 2008+ rule no bar or cage till 9.99

Pretty sure I was right around 34-3600 stall speed as well, so my opinion would be the 28" tall tire to get some wheel speed even with the 4.10.

28" height tire x 7000rpm x 4.10 (rear gear) x 1:1 (3rd gear trans) = 142mph so I'd think you're covered.
