Exclamation Buying a used tbss awd please help asap

Wondering if anyone has any pointers to look for when buying a used trailblazer it is an 06 ss with 140k. He is wanting 12. It is fully loaded .

The front axle on them isnt all that strong and the oil pick up tube is very far forward in the oil pan because the front axle goes through the oil pan. I would listen close for noise in the front end and check the oil to see how clean it is or if there is any signs the motor has run really hot. TBSS is known for throwing bottom end bearings when oil sloshes and it looses oil pressure.

Ok thanks. He said it also shifts hard from first to second is this an issue

Oh... duh. The trans is a definite weak point as well lol

I'm torn on what to do. It's a 06 140k he wants to trade me for my 2000 ex cab silverado with brand new built tranny it has 224k and my 93 toyota 4x4 pickup + 2700$

1st to 2nd shifts hard in my SS, but mine is tuned to remove torque management and make shifts more firm. Just look for any slippage, and check all fluids etc. I paid $11,000K for a fully loaded 3SS with 57K on it.

Sheww thats alot of miles for that price, i think i would keep my silverado and yota and keep looking.. but thats just my opinion..
