Default In the 12's

Full weight +++ (~3/4 tank of e-85). Temps dropped into the upper 60's as the night went on, but humidity rose as we approached the dew point. The MegaSquirt logger on our Porsche was only reading 97kpa, so it wasn't ideal.

25 psi in the Nittos dead hooked; flashing the new Circle-D 3k converter off of idle for consistent 1.80 short times. It ran 12.9's on all passes, in the upper 104's - lower 105's for the mph. I'm bumping the rev limiter on all shifts since the converter swap, so I'll raise the limiter next time. I'll also install the e-fans, but was just curious to see how the new Circle-D would work without changing a bunch of other things. I am once again very pleased with Chris and Circle-D...THANKS!!!!!

Really nice man! I'm curious how much you really gained with the E85? Shouldn't you be able to get ideal timing on pump 93?

Thanks guys; glad to finally put my pig into the 12's with only light bolt-ons, and look forward to running even quicker after I raise the limiter and install the e-fans this weekend. E-85 has been a big help in getting me there. It is a very forgiving fuel that is easy to tune. Surprisingly, WOT timing is not much different than what I ran on gasoline, but it tolerates more timing before PE, which makes the part throttle drive ability very crisp. I suspect that due to the LS2's moderate compression and efficient combustion chamber design, the bulk of the performance improvement comes from the additional oxygenation that e-85 brings to the party. For anybody who is interested, just shoot me an e-mail at rob@racepartsolutions.com, and I'll give you a copy of my .hpt tune file.

Note: I'm more than happy to share and compare personal experiences with e-85, but I have no interest about reports of any issues that your mechanic's, cousin's, next door neighbor's, boss's, son's best friend heard about in a chat room
