What tire size?

99 Sierra Z71.. 3" body, 2.5" front level kit, and 1.5" blocks to go on the rear.

Can I fit 315s or only 305s? (16" rim). I saw a guy fit 315s, but I dont know if he had to trim fenders or not.. I don't want to do that. I can probably crank a little more out of those torsion keys, just not sure how much.

a 315 will be close. if you dont want to trim anything i would just stick with 305s

315 might rub. Will be real close. I have a 6" lift and i had 315/75/16 and i didnt have any problems. If they rub it will be when you turn the tire to full lock.

go with 35's or 36's

gao8302 Dec 21, 2006 06:09 AM

What!? 36" Tires wont fit.

chewybravo Dec 21, 2006 10:32 AM

ok, probably not the 36's but the 35's or 33's will defenitaly be a good fit for that lift.

If you throw a 3" body you will be able to clear a 33.12.50. If you want to go 315 or 35x12.50 you are better off with a 6" suspension lift. The suspension componentes will last much longer, than installing torsion keys, wich place a lot of stress on the front end of a vehicle, not to mention it kinda scews the smooth drive of the vehicle. When you mess with torsion bar lifts (aka leveling kits) you basically going with a cheap temporary type solution. When you look at the big picture you will end up spending more money now by buying a 6" lift, but in the long run it will balance out with ball joint replacemnt alignments, etc...

305/70/16 should be fine

chewybravo Dec 21, 2006 11:37 AM
