X2!!!

I would hate to have a vehicle that shoots spark plugs out or have coil packs that Die frequently.

If I built a vintage one from scratch, I might consider it, but at the end of the day I would probably dump it for something with a Bow tie!

And I agree. Like I said, gm all the way here. The rest of my fleet is the truck in my sig, an 87 firebird, and a 68 firebird.
The wife has a 4 door wrangler and her 02 wrx but gotta keep the wife happy so I can have my toys lol. Besides, I'm working on her to ls swap both of them

8.1 with 4l80?? It its got 3:73s in it and its anything like my 02 avalanche was youll be happy especially on highway, i had a 37 gallon tank in that beast and on highway she sipped gas..... Around town was about 10-12 mpg, she loved to be opened up.... I made it from virginia beach to other side charlotte nc on less than half a tank, and goin up to my moms in wv which is about a 270miles trip would use little more than quarter tank.... Kick myself everytime i pull up to a gas pump in my yukon for ever having gotten rid of that avalanche!!!!!

Yup. 8.1, I assume 80e (only option aren't they?), and yes 3.73's.
I'm hoping I'm happy lol. I was looking for 4.10's but I know I'm looking for a unicorn so I'm settling for my bigger wants of not a million miles and a cheaper price lol.
Good to know its a good highway cruiser with that combo. That's pretty much what I'm after. Nothing I own gets good gas mileage so that's not even a concern of mine lol.

I don't think there is a whole lot of aftermarket support for the 8.1s and the aftermarket that is out there is pretty pricey. I plowed with a 2500 avalanche 8.1 and that truck could push some snow. They definitely have great torque and should work well with your plans. You could always throw a set of gears in it if you need more pulling power.
