This might be a stupid question but how does a prerunner kit do offroadn? I see most serious lifts have cross member drops etc for strength, and Im sure the prerunners need clearance so no drop cross member...

For just some basic 2wd w/ locker fun, is a prerunner kit ok?

They usually do it with longer A arms which gets the lift an the wider track. since there is no front pumpkin or driveshafts there is nothing to have to lower. And for 2wd fun a prerunner kit and locker would be a blast!

I checked on some of the stuff on the truc posted above too and it has the top of the line stuff on it. Roughly 15k into the suspension alone + tires and wheels + brakes and + the fiberglass body pieces = $$ Holy Chit $$

IMO 2WD Wheelin is definately fun, more of a challenge since 4WD makes shit ten times easier. So if you have the money, do it.

CST Makes a prerunner kit for 2wd chevys/gmc trucks

But since prerunners have bigger a arms it pushish the front wheels out which make's it illegal on the streets

and a medium entry kit, fabrication, wheels-tires, and all other acc. is well over 15000

if you want a cheap lvl kit check out CST 3in kit

also go to socalsupertrucks.com for pics of there customer's trucks to get a better idea of what you want

I only see 4in spindles and their lift kits on their website, what 3in kit are you talking about?

O.K. so you would prefer me to start a new post? Just thought someone (even though it was six months old) could use some of the info I posted?!

Sorry I won't look at any other post that isn't on the first page from here on out!!!

Honestly, sure that would have been cool. Not nearly as many people are going to see your post now because the other 30 responses in this thread are basically nonsense with tidbits of info here and there. Had you started a new thread, people could have read what you wrote.
