Need some input on new wheels.

Just had a set of 325/60/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers fall into my lap so I am in the market for some new wheels. Price is about the same for both, but pro comp is offering a $125 mail in rebate if you purchase 4 18" wheels. I have narrowed it down to two wheels.

First choice are the raceline renegade 6 black in a 18x10 with a 4.75" BS.

Second choice is the pro comp 7036 black in a 18x9 with a 5" BS

Pro Comp!!!

1CLNY2K 07-13-2012 09:19 AM

Thanks for the input. Those seem to be taking the majority liking on the other forums as well. Plus the fiance likes them better as well so that helps explaining spending money on them lol.

After some more looking I decided to go with the pro comps. They should be arriving Tuesday so hopefully I will have some updated pics next week.

i think you made the right choice

Mangled03gmc 07-17-2012 03:35 PM

Looks good. I liked the first ones at first glance, but after looking at the 2 that was the better choice.

Sweet_Z71 07-17-2012 03:37 PM

Looking forward to pics.

1CLNY2K 07-17-2012 03:51 PM

Yeah I cant wait to get them on the truck either. Im glad I went with the pro comps as well. No one around here has anything like these wheels.

Well finally got some time to get them mounted up and the truck cleaned up. Not bad for over 235K miles.

Looks good man, did you change tail lights also?

1CLNY2K 07-22-2012 06:49 PM

Thanks man. Nope they are the same ones that were on there the last time you saw it. Maybe since its clean they look different. Should be getting them tinted here in the next week or so hopefully.

What are the specs on the lift?

1CLNY2K 07-22-2012 07:09 PM

Just a rough country leveling kit. Used the 3" rear block, but cranked the front so there is still a 1" rake to it. So it would really be level if I left the factory block in.

A Low Dime 07-22-2012 08:28 PM

Can you do me a favor when you get a chance, measure the gap from ground to bottom center of the fenders? Im guessing itll be around 39 inches.

1CLNY2K 07-22-2012 09:49 PM

As a matter of fact I know that off the top of my head. Rear is 40 1/4" and front is 39 1/2". But I will double check that once I get to work in the AM.

1CLNY2K 07-23-2012 12:36 PM

I double checked and I am 41 1/4" in the back and 39 1/2" in the front.

Tire and rim combo does look good, nice choice!

I used to live in Baltimore up on N. Calvert St.

Vortec350ss 08-01-2012 10:45 AM

They look great! The offset is perfect for your truck! The other wheels would have stuck out WAY too far and looked goofy.

I had that same tire on my 2 door tahoe back when they were brand new. Gotta love how wide they are!

03chevyroyce 08-01-2012 11:05 AM

looks pretty good, i like the maroon/black look

1CLNY2K 08-01-2012 03:11 PM

Thanks for the comments. Yeah I am really glad I went with these wheels over the other ones. I think I am finally happy with the stance and the look. Besides wanting to do some more color matching and cleaning up the front end some.

getchusum99 08-18-2012 08:06 PM

What did u do to your front bumper? Is thar paint, powder coat or bed liner? Good lookin truck, just ordered those same mirrors. Koolvue.

gmc123 09-01-2012 10:37 PM

lookin good!!

1CLNY2K 09-05-2012 03:41 PM

Front bumper is actually plastidipped for the time being. It was a chrome bumper that I had truck bed coated a while ago and it lasted a few months and then would flake off. The PD has held up really good.
