8ply Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10 in a 315/70/17. Take a look at those. Heard nothing bad about them yet. If you are stuck on 10 ply, BFG AT's in a 10 ply would be my next choice.

 

i never had luck with bfg ever since they added the K/o to the name. the old school bfg were good. i tried a set before the nittos and they were no better. i narrowed my picks down to 3. so when i am ready top buy the best deal will win.

 

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I also need a set of 10 plys but I run 20"s. These 2500s come witha 10 ply stock and are best for towing but finding one ina 20 that doesnt rub, has good tread wear,is an AT tire, isnt too exspensive, and isnt too loud on the pavement is hard to find.

I know there 8 ply but Im considering the Cooper zeon LTZs. They have a 50 or 60k rating. Does anyone have any experience with these tires and towing with them? I am considering different sizes from what I am running now, 275/55/20 to 285,295/50s or maybe 305s.

Any suggestions?

 

Ok, Pooki almost hit the nail on the head. Dynapro ATD RF10 are 10 PLY...hence the RF10. The absolute longest lasting, best handling and quiet tire I've ever purchased. In my fleet I have them on 2 lifted Suburbans (one which ran Pinks All Out on Dynapro's), a Dodge Megacab, and an F250 CC. These things last and operate flawlessly. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

 

I run 10 plys becausebI run alot of logging roads and have destroyed many of tires with that rip rock. Best I've found for me is the ten ply Yokohama geolanders. There good on the wallet too. The coopers discovery I had before were good tires too but much more expensive.. hth

 

Not sure if I missed your wheel size but I'm running the newer cooper st maxx and they are pretty aggressive for a listed all terrain. So far so good, 10k and the are wearing well. Pictures don't do them justice. Side wall is gnarly and 3 ply sidewalls

 

By far my reccomendation would be the hankook RF-10. It is a great tire, resoable price, and performs great in dry, wet, and snow.
