Put a SWRC cage in a Civic Hatch. Wasnt too happy with it, very loose fitting and left lots of things to be desired, like clearance to driver knee, and B pillar hoop was too short on one leg and had to be sleeved. I would suggest getting a cage bent for your truck, through the dash, not around it.

Most pre bent cages are a little on the loose side, so if you want it to really tuck in there nicely have a custom one made or take the measurements yourself for a custom cage.

Why does the assumption that you lose AC with a through the dash kit exist? My 85 Toyota is thru the dash and it has AC. In our trucks you can get through the dash with out sacrificing any vents

The dash bar across the front i believe takes out the box where the blower is at...i think.

Dash bar isnt NHRA required if the firewall is OEM and unmodifed, and the vehicle is slower than 9.5 (most of us, lets be honest)

No one can put a dash bar over the top of the dash? Anyone seen a caged Wrangler or Cherokee and still have AC?

I mean, ya'll do what you like, its your rides. But this is silly, its like how ~15yrs ago we assumed you had to remove AC to aftermarket turbo *anything and now we are breaking 2000whp in cars with factory AC. Eventually this belief that caged = no AC will die too.

SW race cars sent me the pdf of dimensions for their kit. I'll be taking some measurements tomorrow to see how well the kit will fit in my truck. They take their measurements with full interior in place.

Your 85 doesn't happen to be a AE86?

no sir, it's a pickup. Pretty beat. 5.29s, v6, 35s, toy axles, suspension seats, Chevy leafs, caged, bumpers and a winch.

I have a pretty nice 91 MR2 with a gen3 swap.

The nicest thing I own is honeslty my Tahoe. She is also the one that gets the most money tho haha.
