I have had my eye on a craftsman 1/2 impact since i already have a craftsman cordless drill with their newest C3 batteries and will work with the impact. i dont make a living with my tools, so i cant justify spending the $$$ on a snap-on or equivalent

Just got snap on ct8810 cordless 3/8. This thing is sick.way better then the 14.4v snap on ( I still like them very good tool). The new snap on cordless 3/8 has like 325 ftlbs. I also have a 1/4 rigid impact awesome 18v. For what this thing is it has the *****, broke many of many of bolts with it. And have dropped it, plain beat the hell out it. This thing is just as powerful as the day I got it.

Another Ingersoll Rand W7150 lover! I'm an HD mechanic, and it has to be the most used tool in my box, and the air impact never gets used anymore either! Can't say enough good about it really. It will easily hang in with Snap On's equivalent, and probably even outperform it. Battery life is great as well. Going to be picking up the 3/8 version to compliment it.

I was in this exact situation and had the fortune to use a few brands on a job site before I had to plop my own money down for these. Now we ONLY use Milwaukee M18 fuel series on job sites and that for everything including whole 30" pipe flange assemblies. Obviously this means my needs at home on my cars and trucks are more than met. They are full of torque, have tons of battery life and actually compared to other brands across the board are not that pricey especially for what you are getting.

Milwaukee M18 all the way

the Milwaukee and IRW7150 are neck and neck as the 2 best cordless 1/2" impacts. I have the 7150, but bought it before the Milwaukee came out. The ergonomics are slightly different and the milwaukee motor is brushless. I have no complains on the IR yet.

You cant beat Milwaukee, especially the Fuel series. Brushless power at is finest.

I had the Milwaukee 18v fuel 1/2" for a couple weeks, bad *** impact but the charger died right away, and its really heavy. Got in on a clearance from a local farm store for $365. I already had DeWalt 20v drill and 1/4 brushless driver which is bad *** too, so I decided to take the Milwaukee back and buy the DeWalt 20v brushless impact and its just as badass as the Milwaukee and weighs a little less I think. I like it's a 3 speed where the Milwaukee was only a 2 speed, really slow and KILL, lol. The Dewalt has a nice middle setting that enough for most jobs without over tightening stuff. Really happy with the DeWalt 20v brushless stuff for sure.

I did how ever pick the Milwaukee 12v ratchet and screw driver. The ratchet is really handy! It's not super powerful, but it long enough you can break something loose by hand and then run it in or out with the motor. Love it!

I'm looking for a cordless 1/2 impact that has 400 - 500 flbs, does anyone know of any? Craftsman has one with 330 flbs, for $160.00 I think, looking for something affordable.

Thanks.
