Disconnect plug from oil pressure sensor, remove tape from wire harness and separate the oil pressure sensor plug wiring. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.per...635b00e1fd.jpg After separating the oil pressure sensor wires rewrap both sets of wires with electric tape. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.per...9483d64d1d.jpg Remove oil pressure sensor using the recommended oil sensor socket and install adapter. I used (RUS-670530) Metric adapter -6AN male x 16mm male. Purchased through Summit Racing.

Note: The fitting going into the oil sensor port is wrapped in pipe thread tape https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.per...250021c36d.jpg I got 2 ft of rubber hose from O'Reilly. Using the supplied nylon tubing kit that comes with the gauge connect the sensor to the 1/8" npt port on the adapter tee. Note: I wrapped the 1/8" npt fitting and oil pressure sensor with pipe thread tape, sometime in the future I will replace with copper gauge tubing. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.per...8c43d35691.jpg Mount bracket, then connect the oil pressure sensor plug and the hose. Start it up and check for leaks. Note: Be careful not to over tighten the AN fittings, you can always tighten more if they are leaking. If you over tighten them they will always leak and need replaced. |

Filter screen that is located underneath of the factory oil pressure sensor. I choose to remove and throw away. |
Good job man! Nice write up!
|
Credit goes to the guy who gave me the idea, least I could do was pay it forward with a write up.
|
Would it save space to do a 90 out of the block to the right and a 90 out of the back of the sensor?
