Default Asking for a friend.....

Really..... my manager at my part time job..... 03 silverado ss, wants to add e fans but not necessarily get his truck tuned, is there a good way to do this? I know hayden makes the generic cooling fan kits usually with some sort of probe or whatever to cut the fans on which in theory coukd be made to work, but im thinking if there was a coolant temp related trigger somewhere that woukd work, and then tap into the ac trigger for the high speed, it woukd just be a matter of connecting what would normally be the pin 42 ecm wire to some sort of other trigger or switch

I would think there is an extra coolant port somewhere that you can use a generic style coolant temp probe to kick them on low at least. The universal kits seem to use an air temp probe which is kind of lame but would work.
