Ls7 Throttle Body

Anyone with 04 Silverado with the 102 fast intake ever use Ls7 Throttle body?
Figured it would match right up with a 8 pin to 6 pin adapter. HELP ME OUT.

I'm running an ls7 tb on my 03. I used a torque rush adapter and it has worked great.

Just to clarify, I have the silver blade 90mm tb. I believe it came on the early ls7's and Ls2's. I bought it on eBay for $250 I think.

O, the one i bought has the gold blade got it on ebay for one $150. Is there much of a difference?

Silver is LS2
Gold is LS3

If you are NA then either will be fine, the blade opens opposite direction on the LS2 which is irrelevant for the most part. The LS2 has a stronger servo motor which is why it is the preferred one when you are FI.

Thanks guys. Oakley I've been looking at those torque thrust adapters how much wiring is involved if any?

03sierraslt Mar 23, 2014 05:26 PM

Just plug it in, I have one also.

None. It is plug and play. You have to cut one wire in the torque thrust loom depending in what model throttle body you have.
