Does it look like and have same texture as bedliner??

The 3M product has a slight rough/orange peel like texture to it.

3M Rocker Panel Coating, 23 ounce Net Wt / 600g, Grey, 08889

I am mistaken. It's grey and you paint over it.

It's only been 10-15 years since I last used it or was around it.

Apparently most of the coatings are pretty good, it's all in the prep............

Wolftrk99 05-27-2016 12:58 PM

Prep will make or break any coatings longevity... Uv resistance is the other aspect, wron uv resostance will cause more than just fading in some cases....

Cool- have a good idea what I'm looking at. Say, B4 I paint in the liner I wanna put it a ladder rack that I had on one of my previous trucks and that had some kind of nut insert thru the sheet metal, here's some pics of what I've dug up; one recommendation over the other? I like the one that collapses, but am concerned than it will turn when trying to tighten a bolt in there. TIA

The crush ones tend to turn, the solid splined ones will too if overtightened, creating a bigger issue than just a turning nut!!!
