Default 6.0liter into my Cadillac sts

I have a 2004 GMC Yukon 6.0 liter, I was hoping to put the engine into my 2008 Cadillac STS. The caddy has a 3.6v6 any ideas of this possibility?

Will it fit? Yes.
Will it bolt in? Not likely.
Will it plug in? Not without pioneering configuration and splicing of parts.
Will it be worth anywhere near the amount of money it would take to convert it? Not close.
Can you buy an STS with a V8 already in it for an affordable price? Yes.

IMO, I would suggest using that engine for a more worthy swap.

Just to play devil's advocate.... Don't the STS's come with the POS northstar V8?

I agree an LS swap is a lot of work but it would be worlds better than dealing with a northstar

I would be willing to tackle any of the Northstar's issues--including a jumped tooth on a timing chain, before I would try to retrofit an LS into one.

thats where we differ. LS swap all the things. Boost all the things

OP, you can make this happen, probably pretty easily. But I'd wager you're gonna lose all BCM, gauges, HVAC and the whole lot. But you can do a stand alone LS/auto swap with the appropriate ECU and harness

Better yet, sell the STS and buy a CTS-V. Then you’ve already got a car setup for an LS and you can go from there if you want.
