Crux SOCGM-17 Wiring

I'm in the midst of putting my wiring harness together getting ready for install and I've come across 2 wires I have no idea what to do with!
on the kenwood wiring harnes, the Blue/White wire which is "power control" and on the crux wiring interface the Blue/White "amplifier on"
do I join those two together?
I know its the same colours but if I was to add an amp in the future...wouldnt that be the wire I run to the amp or what would control that?

Yes match blue with white tracer together that is the amp turn on that will turn on the bose amp. Then if you add a aftermarket amp the amp turn on will connect to the blue with white tracer.

Ive run into another problem with mounting the unit!
I grabbed the gmk-422 mounting bracket from Crutchfield but I cant seem to find a way to attach it to that shell that goes around the head unit
Any suggestions for mounting the head unit into the dash?

It has little L shaped cleats that lock into the sides into the dash kit. They are floppy until you secure the kit to the radio with the pan head screws.

If you are double din I haven't had one of these trucks yet that had enough depth for a aftermarket double din. I have to use a air body saw and carve out that rear most bracket that is welded to the tubular cross dash support brace to get enough room for the radio to slide in without crushing the harness and or RCA's depending on how the RCA's go into your new radio.
