Wanted to show off my amp install.
 

It is nothing too spectacular but being a Tahoe and having 7 people to fill all of the seats sometimes cargo area is extreamly precious. The box can easily be removed but the amp I wanted out of the way.Plus worse case if my truck gets broken into they won't get my amp. It is bolted in to the wheel well and I made a metal bracket to support the front of the amp.

I bought it used from a friend for $100 and it slams impressively hard for a 10 with a middle of the road 500 watt. amp from fosgate. Small package with big sound.

sure amp wont thermal?

Nice and concealed. I don't think that amp puts out to much heat but still might be a concern, especially if it's hot outside.

I have been on a few road trips of about 45 min beating hard and it didn't shut down. I do have a small computer fan to vent the area just to help keep it cool. Just havn't mounted it yet.

It doesn't seem to need the cooling fan but I have it and it will only take a few more minutes to install it to be safe.

Debating on doing the fan or not. I have been beating on the system when I can and not had an issue. Problem is I havn't been able to see how hot it is getting. Ususally my destonation is home and I don't care to have my hatch open in front of the house.

If I install the cooling fan it will either be in the jack door or in the back side of the little storage area.

Going on 10 months of this system with not one issue yet. I never did install the fan but with the hot ass summer we have had i have gotten into my truck and turn on the radio every single day with out an issue. On the hottest days, 105* or so, I tested it and never thermaled.

The fan install would only take an half hour but there never seemed to be a need so I didn't dig into it.
