Default Thoughts on in dash DVD

Ok, here is the deal. I'm thinking about the Jensen VM9311 in dash DVD unit. I know, I know, get the Eclipse or Get the Alpine or Get the Pioneer....well I really don't want to spend a fortune, and was hoping for the price ($400) this was an OK unit????? I'm almost 40 years old, so my days of bangin' 4 12" subs is over...just want the video DVD option and thought this would be a nice deal. Any input?

I've used a jensen 9411 before and it was pretty decent. no fancy features or animated backgrounds or anything like that but it would play dvds, cd, and radio just fine.

Alpine Keenwood or Pioneer.... there more money but its truely worth it I wouldent buy a jensen I have installed a few Duals which is almost the same they dont have bad picture, and sound OK but there just not going to last and $400 is alot of money for a paperwate. So yea either get a good one or dont do one at all

I wouldn't go for a jensen, but that's just me. My friend had one in his trans am and it was ok at first, but then you could see some dead pixels while a dvd was playing. I would spend a couple hundred more on a quality unit.

You absolutely can't beat that Jensen for the price. I had one in my pick-up and loved it. The only reason I got rid of it was because I wanted a navigation unit. It has awesome color when your watchin DVD's. My opinion is its an all around nice unit. Wish I would've seen this post before I got rid of mine. Would've sold it cheap. only 6months old

I agree with you pioneer is awesome...for $1100 or more...But for $400 you can't beat that jensen...I live on dirt roads and I farm (aka rides with windows down) and the unit never gave me one lick of trouble...yes I farm and I have 20's stop laughin
