Subwoofer/Amp Suggestions for Ext Cab Silverado

Anyone know of any subwoofer/amp combos that sound decent for a ECSB that will not break the bank? I'm only wanting something to enhance the sound I have now. I DO NOT want something to rattle the windows and wake the neighbors. Just something to improve overall sound quality. I would also like to retain as much space under the rear bench as possible.

My current receiver is a Kenwood DPX503. All speakers are stock (6 I believe, non-Bose). Any suggestions?

Bump. Nothing at all? Heck, I'll even take brand suggestions.

I run kicker amps a kicker subs... Search the net and you can get them for fairly inexpensive.. I just bought a kicker 10 in a kicker ported box for 105 shipped sounds great btw...

go with a single 10" subwoofer and build your own box or buy one from subthump. Something like a smaller Resonant Engineering SRX subwoofer off a Kicker 600 rms amp would be good.

memphis, jl audio or digital designs are awesome stuff and pricing will be cheaper to more exspensive in that order. go with a nice memphis amp and a memphis pr1 and youll be very happy. or im runnign a memphis amp and two 12" jl w3's which are awesome to/

I would go with a single 8" or single 10" under the back seat with a 250w amp in a small sealed box. :D This will keep your amp and box size reqirements down to a minimum saving you money and space. The 10" will hit a little deeper and louder than the 8".

As far as brands im partial to JL Audio. If your wanting to keep your price as low as possible look at the W0 and W1 lines for your subwoofers (ie 8w0 or 8w1 / 10w0 or 10w1) If you want to keep the same brand going JL has a new amp series they just came out with called the J2 series. The J2 series has a mono block 250w amp that would feed the 8 or 10 every thing it needs (J2 250.1 is the model number). With the type of system improvement your looking for there is really no reason to go with a bigger amp or larger speaker than a 10". :secret: Keep us updated on how your search is going.:chug:

I agree, one 10" sub and a good amp to push it and it will really wake up your sound system! then maybe later throw in some components front and rear with a 4 channel amp and rock out!

I recently got a Kicker CVT10 for $84.50 and a ported box for $70 to fit under the rear seat in my truck.
I already had a old Kenwood amp, but the new speaker and box sounds much better than the speakers I had.

sealed 10" under rear seat, replace door speakers and run a 5 channel amp like the Kicker ZX700.5. Remote gain so you have adjustabilkity up front, 420-450 watts on the single 10", 85x4 for all stock replaced speakers.

Simple, not not mind/glass shattering.
