^^^
pretty sweet idea. I have the same door panels and I've got the tweeter mounted in the factory spot right next to the speaker, but the x-over is mounted behind the door panel.

You fukn suck.. Punk *** MD and there bullshit gun laws .. Anyway I had a set of power door panels, sold them.. At the time it seemed to be a bigger hassle then it was worth to put them in.. I like the fact power panels, but do not want to spend the time and esp money to convert back to a factory gm power set up.. That does look good though man..

I'm going to be doing this at some point too. The only problem is that the speaker mounted to the door is not centered in the grille on the door panel so it'll require a little work to match it up. Here's how I'm doing mine, these are Polk grilles btw:

They look nice, but for a DD that would last a day in my truck before they got scratched.. Maybe if it was a weekend warrior...

Oh, I'm not painting mine either, I'm wrapping the panels in black vinyl. Paint wouldn't last long with me either, I originally dyed my panels black and its starting to fade and peel now and vinyl holds up waaaaay better. The pic was just to illustrate the grilles, so just imagine that on a reshaped panel with the door pockets deleted with black vinyl on the bottom and some old school tuck and roll across the top and that's what mine will look like......hopefully

I would rock the stock grills. I have never been a fan of aftermarket grills unless your going with a custom door panel. I like the window switch idea on your panels! They look great. Have you tried to grease the tracks to help out with window speed?

Tough call, I'm a fan of the stock look, but those Infinity grilles aren't half bad, and Infinity makes good stuff that is cool to represent IMO. Personally, I love having power windows and locks, especially since I can't reach across to the other side of the cab while I'm driving to roll the window up/down when necessary. I like Roger's idea the best, of using the factory power panels. I'd just get some new window motors or regulators (whichever is causing the slow operation, in my case it was the regulators), and go with factory power panels.
