I am in the process of doing a set up now.. I went for a good sound but not show winner sound. Went with a kicker cvt12, pioneer class D mono 800 watt amp. Heard one of these at the store and was very satisfied with the sound. I would have to do the custom console but that is a lil to much advertising for my likes...

 

I have 2 12" JL audio W3v2's and an old school autotek mean machine hc225mxi waiting to get hooked up in a ported box. I'm taking the center console clean out and putting the box there instead. Won't be as sick looking as the previous since its just a big square box with jl's pointing up but hopefully will sound ridiculous. The amp was once a cheater amp used in sound competitions underrated at 50w when at 1/2ohm it pushes 1500

Haha yeah.. gloss black was a good thought at first until finger prints, dust and all that started, also the fiances purse and EVERYTHING else she puts on it or leans on it. gotta love her. believe it or not its my first enclosure build not to hard

 

What kind of music do you mostly listen to? I have two 10'' fosgates in two Qlogic truck boxes. I would say they are perfect for good crisp country bass. I plan on going with two 12'' soon. I have found a few different places that have boxes. I am just used to my set up and now I guess my hearing has gotten worse so I need more. But honestly the set up I have now is plenty. Its clean and pretty low too. I was surprised to see the sound out of the little boxes.

 

i dont like the window cracking, show winning bass, but a clean tone. a couple 10's and a good amp in a nice box will give you a great sound in a regular cab.

 

I know what you mean! One scratch or scuff can be seen from a mile away.

 

does anyone have any idea where i can get a box tho?? i dont really have time to build my own and dont really wanna spend a ton of money but want a good high quality box...
