When I bought my '01 Silverado ECSB it had an upgraded head unit (not sure what brand) and I think all new door speakers. It also has all of the wiring to put amps and subs under the rear seat (don't have any right now). The head unit has gone out and I would like to replace it. I am lost when it comes to stereos, requirements, and what to look for.

I would like something that can support the door speakers, can play MP3 CD's, play AM/FM radio, can support adding in a sub and amp under the back seat, and can be plugged into an MP3 player via a 3.5mm headphone jack. Needs to fit in the stock location as well. I don't need anything terribly fancy, but don't want anything cheap either.

I am hoping to do the install myself.
