i dont think you will get into that type of bass untile the memphis M3 line of subs.....anything lower and no bass outside the truck is to be expected...

truck cabs dont have the amount of air available to move as an SUV, so the best you're gonna get is with the windows down and %150 of the power an SUV would take, if not more.

Also, you're dealing with a downfire box, not a front fire or ported setup. So you cant really expect all that much out of it. The only way you're going to be able to hang with an SUV type setup, would be to remove the back seat and put in 4 12"s or 15"s with a good amount of power (1500watts true RMS ++)

i suggest getting 2 Treo SSI 12"s and a zapco 1100.1 amp. And a ported box. Loudest and cleanest subs setup IMO. a little pricey tho.

Downfiring willl help you achieve cabin gain by loading off the floor = louder

why would you want your system heard OUTside the car? and our trucks have horrrrible sound proofing. damn GM.

thats like suggesting a turbo to a guy who just bought a hypertech... And i cant agree with loudest and deffinatly not cleanest.

More importantly than throwing out suggestions for new subs, is to find out the current setup.
How are the subs wired?
How large is the box?
Sealed?
Also know that your getting NOwhere near that power from your amp...
How are gain settings?
crossover settings?
headunit or not?

well of course there is something cleaner and louder and there always will be but a higher price also tags along with it. And ive heard tons of stereos and me and parke10 and have installed tons and ive never heard any as clear as treo besides JLs highend **** which is expensive as hell. for example, One of my buddies has a blazer with 2 kicker CVR 12s with a ported box and a 1000 watt n/a amp. and i had an ssi 10 and a zapco 500.1 amp and it tore those 2 12s apart. Cleaner and louder by far.

If you think it takes expensive name brand gear to sound great then you are mistaken. Compare Treo subs off axis disotrion, FR responses, impedeanece peaks, sensitivity etc to brands such as peerless, DIYMA, Scanspeak, Dyn. etc

Not to mention comparing setups like that is pointless since each install varys as well as the cabin its located in
