go to any RV shop, buy 6 inches of the stuff that keeps dishes from sliding in the cabinets of rv/motorhomes (.75/ft) they have a few colors but black looks best in my truck. cut to fit. use bodyshop grade double sided tape to hold in place. from the factory this shelf is way to slick to keep anything on, unless you drive like grandma i guess. i cant think of any reason why everyone shouldnt do this. it looks stock, doesnt cost anything, and keeps your cellphone/ipod from moving no matter how you drive.

I did that about a year ago. Put it on the center console as well. Wife thought it was dumb but I don't have to chase my phone down on the pass floorboard anymore:judge:

FYI you can get that stuff from any wal mart its called shelf liner and its cheap as hell like 2 bucks for a big roll. So everyone get your buddies to pitch in for it:jest:

some idoit forced me to test it out last week. pulled a 180 in my yukon on dry road at 45 ish. i unplugged my ABS because the pump went out and it almost cost me my truck. i was sure that i was going to roll but it slid around instead. landed with my rear bumper 1' from the idoits rear bumper, and two cars locked up to keep from hitting me head on. cell phone stayed put.

maybe i should market it as a "suspension/braking upgrade accessory" to the ricers. prob would need to make it in neon yellow and pink or some shit though, maybe add flashing strobes too.
