Interesting issue with new setup
Alright fellow audio listeners. I need some help.
For the past 3-4 years, I've been running the same setup without an issue.
1. Clarion single din cd player
2. Coaxials in the front/rear
3. Amp single 8in sub on the passenger side rear under the seat.
Father's Day, I treated myself to an upgrade.
1. New DD head unit (touchscreen)
2. 6.5 component front/rear
3. Amp for the components
4. Same amp/sub setup from above
Now, the issue.
From the time the radio comes on, there is this whine/hum that I cannot get rid of. In the course of my troubleshooting, I have done the following:
1. Swapped RCA. L to R, F to B and even 2 new sets.
2. Put the original CD player back in, still does it.
3. I verified that my component wires are not exposed/grounding out anywhere.
The fun part....
Without either of my amps ground wires, when I connect the RCAs, the amp will power on. That's right, the RCAs are acting as a ground.
I emailed Richard (Atomic) last night and I have a suggestion from him (THANKS!!).
I do have a homemade big-3 upgrade using 4 gauge cables.
Thanks everyone.

I have the same issue, but all I did was replace the factory speakers and installed a single din BT stereo. it whines with rpm's for me and when I push mute it stops.
